Tad Patton
Animation Generalist

Bio
Tad Patton runs the Technology Support Services department for Cochise College in southeast Arizona and has been working in video, media and technology for 30 years. He does everything from promos to documentaries and TV commercials to multi-camera live events. He enjoys working on productions and has recently expanded his skills to include computer graphics and 3D animation. Tad likes the challenge of solving technical issues to make the shot work.
As with so many others, Tad grew up watching Disney movies and Saturday morning cartoons. Tad was amazed with CG when he first saw Toy Story by Pixar. Inspired by all the CG films and artists like Glen Keane, Chuck Jones, and John Lasseter, studying animation was the next logical step. He has completed a BS in Media Arts and Animation from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in August 2014.
When not working on media projects, Tad likes to play music on any of his myriad of instruments, cast jewelry in pewter and silver, learn blacksmithing, and shoot target archery with recurve and longbow. To tie all these hobbies together Tad and his family are members of the Society for Creative Anachronism, a medieval re-creation club.
